The survivors

Here in Montreal we live above a photo lab. I thought  I’d give them a try. They destroyed four of the eight rolls I gave them. Safe to say I’m not going back to them again.

Here are some shots that survived. Most of them were taken on a beautiful Leica M7 that I baby-sat for a couple of weeks. It is such an amazing camera, especially paired with the Summicron 50mm f/2 lens. Regrettably some photos taken with it were lost (R.I.P), but I’m really happy with how the following came out.

The ones at the end with the heavy vignette were taken by pairing a Canon EOS 300 film camera with the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 crop-sensor lens, which has a smaller image circle than can fit on the film. I really like the effect.
